Christian Horner, who is the team principal for Red Bull Racing, is proud of his team for achieving the third consecutive constructors? title.
Red Bull locked this season?s constructors? championship in their name with a total of 440 points after the United States Grand Prix this weekend.
?To have won three consecutive constructors' is something we could only have dreamed about three years ago and to achieve what we have in 2010, 2011 and 2012 against the opponents that we have, and in only our eighth year in the sport, is something that is quite remarkable,? Horner said. ?I think it's testimony to the long hours, dedication and determination within the team that we've managed to achieve this and it's something that every member of the team is fiercely proud of.?
Horner added that they have become the fourth team in the history of Formula 1 to achieve such a target. He says that their achievement is even more enhanced because they accomplished it within a short period of eight years. He appreciated each and every member of the team from putting in equal effort to reach this stage.
Their chief technical officer, Adrian Newey, has designed the cars that have been winning the team the title for the last three years. Just like Horner, Newey also thinks that scoring a hat trick is a great accomplishment. It shows that their car development has been consistent. Highlighting the previous seasons, he added that 2010 and 2012 were difficult while 2011 was easy. The current season has been amazing according to Newey; however, it was long and tiring since they were up against some tough competitors.
The engine providers for the team, Renault, are also immensely pleased with the victory. Renault?s Cyril Dumont congratulated Red Bull over their ?massive achievement?.
Besides this victory, the team?s ace driver Sebastian Vettel could not win the race so that the drivers? title still remains undecided until the last race in Brazil. The second place on the constructors? grid will also be decided in Brazil as Ferrari is in second and McLaren in third place presently.?
